Dragon Chase Rapid: The Second Version, With a Grand Built to Drop Often
Dragon Chase Rapid · Quickspin · RTP 96.19% · max win 1,101.25x · checked on the demo server
Quickspin released two versions of Dragon Chase together in June 2019, and Dragon Chase Rapid is the second. It keeps the 5x3 board on 20 lines, the Wildfire symbols, the free spins and the Dragon Pearl Respin, but its maths are different and its Grand jackpot is much smaller. The client below is Quickspin's own, and playing it costs nothing and needs no registration. Its sheet lists an RTP of 96.19% and volatility 3 of 5, and there is no bonus buy.
Which numbers change between Dragon Chase and Dragon Chase Rapid?
Only the payouts, since the two versions share their rules. At a €1.00 stake Rapid's meters read Mini €5.00, Minor €10.00 and Major €30.00, against €8.00, €28.00 and €138.00 in the standard game, and its progressive Grand was launched with a €10,000 target meant to drop almost daily. RTP falls from 96.39% to 96.19%, a 100x win becomes rarer (1 in 1,557 spins instead of 1 in 1,271) and the largest simulated win is lower.

You can tell which version is open from the word RAPID under the DRAGON CHASE logo, and from the smaller meters. Play begins with €5,000.00 of fun money on a €1.00 stake, which we kept for the whole log, though the server accepts anything from €0.20 to €100.00. Quickspin publishes a single RTP for Rapid, 96.19%, and that is the model the demo runs.

A game sheet inside the Dragon Chase pack, and no page of its own
Quickspin has no web page for Rapid. Its address on quickspin.com returned a 404 when we checked on 3 Nov 2026, and the studio's portfolio list leaves it out. Its only official document is the second PDF in the game-sheet ZIP linked from the Dragon Chase page, and that sheet's feature page is identical to the standard one, pixel for pixel. Quickspin's Dragon Chase text presents both as one game: "We've also made TWO versions of the game", and operators "can choose to run one version or both".

Our Dragon Chase review explains the shared mechanics, from the sliding Wildfires to the 10 free spins for three Bonus Scatters on reels 2, 3 and 4, so here we stick to the differences. For Rapid's figures we used its own sheet, the demo server's own figures and our log, and for its jackpot pace the 2019 launch news.
Meters of €5.00, €10.00 and €30.00, and a Grand meant to fall nearly every day
The Dragon Pearl Respin ladder is unchanged: 4 held pearls or more pay the Mini, 8 the Minor, 12 the Major and all 15 the progressive Grand, each with the pearl values on top. Only the rungs are smaller, €5.00, €10.00 and €30.00 at €1.00 against €8.00, €28.00 and €138.00 on the standard game. Our log has one Mini and one Major, and both matched their meters to the cent.

Every pearl lights a dot under the meters, four each for the Mini, Minor and Major and three for the Grand, one dot per square of the board. The media round on spin 172 had five pearls after its first respins, enough to light the Mini.

At launch Quickspin set Rapid's Grand a €10,000 target and said it would pay "on an almost daily basis", where the standard Grand was a monthly pot that could pass €100,000. Pools are run by each operator, so today's amounts can differ. In our demo the GRAND meter sat at €6,000.00 for all 500 spins, a fixed play-money figure with no pool behind it.
The same reels with a lower RTP and a lower ceiling
Below, the two sheets sit side by side, with the demo server's figure added where it reports one.
| Figure | Rapid | Standard |
|---|---|---|
| RTP | 96.19% | 96.39% |
| Largest simulated win | 1,101.25x server, 822x sheet | 1,170.5x |
| Win of 15x or more | 1 in 87 | 1 in 90 |
| Win of 40x or more | 1 in 218 | 1 in 266 |
| Win of 70x or more | 1 in 624 | 1 in 665 |
| Win of 100x or more | 1 in 1,557 | 1 in 1,271 |
| Volatility (1 to 5) | 3 | 3 |
Small and middling wins come a little more often on Rapid, the 100x ones less often. Its sheet splits the RTP into base game 51.21%, free spins 31.24%, jackpot game 13.68%, which add up to 96.13%, 0.06 points short of the printed total. Nowhere does the sheet explain that gap.
Rapid has two top-win figures. The 2019 sheet prints 822x in 100 billion simulated spins, while the demo server today reports 1,101.25x with the same simulation size and the same 96.19%. We give the server's figure as current and keep the sheet's beside it.
A Major on spin 414 and a 161x round of free spins
Staking €500.00 at €1.00 a spin brought back €572.75. The tally shows four free spins rounds and leaves out five Dragon Pearl Respin rounds, which the rig filed as ordinary spins and which we picked out of the server log.
- 500paid demo spins at €1.00
- 21.4%of them paid something
- 161xbest spin, free spins round included
- 4free spins bonuses triggered
Three of the five pearl rounds stopped at three pearls and paid only their values. Six pearls on spin 120 were enough for the €5.00 Mini. The Major came on spin 414, after 15 respins and with 12 pearls, and paid €30.00, or €38.50 counting the pearl values. In the rig's tiles it shows up as the best base spin (38.5x), although it was the jackpot feature.
Two Bonus Scatters on free spin 5 of the round at spin 330 added 3 spins, and that round paid 108x. The round at spin 452 paid 161x, with €112.75 of it from free spin 5 and six Wildfires on screen.

Of the money returned, the four spins that triggered free spins brought €329.75 (line wins on those spins included), the five pearl-round spins €53.50 and the remaining base spins €189.50. Our balance hit its low of €4,839.25 on spin 328, two spins before that 108x round. The filmed round, from media spin 301, got the same +3 early on.
On the clip's last frame the next paid spin starts with three leftover Wildfires in place, the carry-over the rules describe.

Which of the two dragons to open first
Rapid suits someone who likes the idea of a Grand meant to be won most days and can accept smaller rungs, since its Major at €1.00 is worth far less than the standard Major. The standard version has the bigger meters and the higher RTP, and its pool is meant to build over a month. Our two logs ran in opposite directions (114.5% here, 60.7% on the standard game), and 500 spins are too few to read anything into that.
Rapid in four answers
Each answer names its source.
Why can't I find Dragon Chase Rapid on quickspin.com?
Quickspin has no page for it. It presents Dragon Chase as one game in two versions, and Rapid appears only as the second sheet in the ZIP on the Dragon Chase page. The address quickspin.com/slots/dragon-chase-rapid/ returned a 404 on 3 Nov 2026.
Is the €6,000.00 Grand in the demo a real jackpot?
No. The demo plays with fun money and its Grand meter stayed at €6,000.00 through our 500 spins. Real pools are set up by each operator, and Rapid's launch target was €10,000.
Which top win is right for Rapid, 822x or 1,101.25x?
Both come from Quickspin. The 2019 game sheet prints 822x and the current demo server 1,101.25x, each from 100 billion simulated spins with the Grand jackpot aside. We treat the server as current.
Can a casino run Rapid and the standard Dragon Chase together?
Yes. Quickspin's page says operators can choose to run one version or both, which it presents as a way to reach a wider range of players. The 2019 launch news paired a large monthly Grand on one with a small near-daily Grand on the other.
