Dragon Chase: Wildfire Wilds and a Respin Ladder to a Progressive Grand
Dragon Chase · Quickspin · RTP 96.39% · max win 1,170.5x · checked on the demo server
When Dragon Chase came out in June 2019, Quickspin called it its first ever jackpot game. It is a red-and-gold 5x3 slot on 20 lines where a dragon breathes Wildfire symbols onto the reels, and three Jackpot Scatters start a respin round with four jackpot levels. Quickspin's client of it plays in the browser below at no charge, no registration or deposit required. Only one RTP is published, 96.39%, the volatility is 3 of 5, and nothing can be bought.
How many Dragon Pearls does each Dragon Chase jackpot need?
Three Jackpot Scatters start the Dragon Pearl Respin, where all 15 positions spin as separate reels for 3 spins. Every new pearl is held and sets the count back to 3. When the spins run out, 4 to 7 pearls pay the Mini, 8 to 11 the Minor and 12 to 14 the Major; filling all 15 pays the progressive Grand and ends the round. Each pearl's own value is added on top. In our server log the three Scatters that open the round were not counted as pearls.

At the start the client shows a €1.00 stake, which we never changed, €5,000.00 in play money and four meters along the top (MINI €8.00, MINOR €28.00, MAJOR €138.00 and GRAND €112,236.74). The Grand figure belongs to the demo and stayed put for all 500 spins, whereas at a casino the game is tied to an operator or local pool. The server accepts stakes from €0.20 to €100.00, and the RTP it runs, 96.39%, is the only model Quickspin lists for this version.

Wildfire symbols sink one row per spin, and the free spins bring more
At random, in the base game or the free spins, the dragon drops 1 to 5 Wildfire symbols onto any reels. Each moves down a position per spin until it falls off the bottom row, so a Wildfire that lands on the top row stays in view for three spins. No more than 10 can be on the reels at once, and a new one never replaces another. Each bet option keeps its own set.

New Wildfire symbols arrived in 59 of our 500 base spins, 109 of them in all, and no base screen held more than five. Our best base spin (20.5x, spin 443) came almost entirely from one line of five, and three Wildfires on reels 2, 3 and 5 completed it.
It takes three Bonus Scatters, landing on reels 2, 3 and 4, to start 10 free spins, and two more on reels 2 and 4 during the round add 3. Extra Wildfires drop in during the round, and any still on the reels after the last spin carry over to the base game. Both of our rounds stopped at the basic 10 spins, with one to four Wildfires on every screen, and paid 38x (spin 146) and 24.5x (spin 270).

A better round came on spin 13 of our media session, and it is filmed below.
Three Jackpot Scatters and three spins that keep resetting
Jackpot Scatters appeared only on reels 1, 3 and 5 in our log. Three on one screen swap the reels for 15 squares, each spinning on its own, and every Dragon Pearl that lands stays put and resets the 3-respin counter. The round ends when the count runs out or all 15 squares are filled.

Quickspin gives each pearl a random value of 0.5x to 7x the bet level. Of the 21 pearls we collected, 18 showed €0.50 and none more than €2.00. After the last respin the jackpot is paid and play returns to the base spin that started it.
Three small meters and one Grand that keeps growing
Which meter pays depends on the pearl count when the respins end, from 4 to 7 for the Mini up to all 15 for the Grand. Each of our three Minis matched the €8.00 on its meter.

Only the Grand is progressive. Quickspin's page says the chance of winning it "correlates positively with the bet size", so a larger stake buys a better shot at the same pool. At launch Quickspin described this version's Grand as a monthly jackpot that could pass €100,000.
The RTP split on Quickspin's sheet does not add up. Its three lines, Base Game 51.55%, Free Spins 33.14%, Jackpot Game 13.55%, come to 98.24%, 1.85 points above the 96.39% total printed on the same card. The sheet gives no reason, so we quote only the total.
Four pearl rounds in our 500 spins, three of them ending on a Mini
The rig's tally counts just the two free spins rounds. Four Dragon Pearl Respin rounds are in the server log too:
- Spin 174: 6 pearls after 11 respins, pearl values €3.00 plus the €8.00 Mini, €11.00 in all.
- Spin 209: 3 pearls after 4 respins, pearl values €1.50, no jackpot, €1.50 in all.
- Spin 295: 5 pearls after 6 respins, pearl values €5.00 plus the €8.00 Mini, €13.00 in all.
- Spin 385: 7 pearls after 12 respins, pearl values €4.00 plus the €8.00 Mini, €12.00 in all.
- 500paid demo spins at €1.00
- 19.2%of them paid something
- 38xbest spin, free spins round included
- 2free spins bonuses triggered
Spin 385, with seven pearls, fell one short of the Minor. Of the €303.25 returned on €500.00 staked (60.7%), the pearl rounds brought €37.50, the two free spins rounds €62.50 and base-game line wins the remaining €203.25.
The balance peaked at €5,001.50 on spin 10 and fell to its lowest, €4,798.50, on spin 429, and the longest dry patch lasted 22 spins. Nothing in the log reached 50x.

Beside Rapid, Titan Thunder and Fire Tale
Quickspin made Dragon Chase in two versions and lets operators run either or both. Dragon Chase Rapid keeps the rules and the art but runs on different maths, with a far smaller Grand built to drop almost daily.
Fifteen held squares and a jackpot for filling them also drive Titan Thunder: Wrath of Hades, but there the round needs six coins to begin and the Mega Jackpot for a full board is fixed at 1,000x the bet before any free spins multiplier. Fire Tale's Grand Dragonpot reads 5,000 at €1.00, level with its 5,000x win cap. Quickspin calls neither game's jackpots progressive, leaving Dragon Chase as the only game of the three whose Grand grows.
Expect a slow base game. In our log the respins came round more often than the free spins, and three of the four paid a Mini. The largest simulated win, 1,170.5x in 100 billion spins, leaves the Grand jackpot aside, so play it for the pearl rounds and the shot at a pool.
Short answers on the pearls and the Grand
Every reply rests on Quickspin's rules and sheet or on our server log.
Does a bigger bet improve the chance of the Grand?
Yes, according to Quickspin's rules, which tie the odds of the progressive Grand to the size of the bet. They print no figure for those odds at any stake and do not say how the other three meters scale with the bet.
Are the pearl values lost when a jackpot is paid?
No. The rules pay pearl values on top of any jackpot. On spin 295 of our log five held pearls were worth €5.00 and the Mini added €8.00, for €13.00 at a €1.00 stake.
What happens to Wildfires still on the reels after the free spins?
They stay. Under the rules, Wildfires still on screen when the Free Spins Bonus ends move into the base game and go on sliding down one row per spin.
How do two Bonus Scatters lengthen a running round?
Inside the Free Spins Bonus, two Bonus Scatters on reels 2 and 4 add 3 spins to the 10 you started with. Neither of our two logged rounds got them, though single Bonus Scatters landed four times.
Does the 1,170.5x top win include the Grand jackpot?
No. Quickspin's sheet and the demo server agree on 1,170.5x, measured over 100 billion simulated spins of the game itself. The progressive Grand comes from a separate pool.
Why do some listings call Dragon Chase high volatility?
They give no reason. Quickspin's own sheet rates the game 3 on a scale of 1 to 5, while SlotCatalog and AboutSlots print High; we use the studio's rating.
