Book of Duat sends Anna the Explorer back to an Egyptian tomb on a 5x3 grid with 10 lines, and the client below comes straight from Quickspin, costing nothing and needing no registration or deposit. Released in November 2021, it turns the usual Book idea round. The gold Book is the Wild, three or more start 4 free spins, and a Pick and Click board decides how many extra spins and Expanding symbols the round gets and how far its multiplier climbs. Quickspin's sheet gives 96.27% RTP and volatility 5 of 5, and the largest win in the demo server's simulation is 32,670.5x the bet.
What decides the value of a bought Book of Duat bonus once the picks are paid for?
The tiles. Each price only fixes the opening: 150x buys a base spin with at least 3 Wilds and 3 picks, 500x at least 4 Wilds and 6 picks, 1,600x 5 Wilds and 12 picks, always with 4 free spins, 1 Expanding symbol and a x1 multiplier. Every pick turns one of 20 tiles that add free spins, Expanding symbols or multiplier steps, and a turned tile is gone for the rest of the round. A dearer card buys more picks from the same pool.

The gold Book substitutes, pays and opens the tomb
One symbol does the Book's double job here, and the help calls it simply WILD. It stands in for every symbol, pays on a line like any other (€5.00 for two at €1.00, €50.00 for three, €2,500.00 for five), and three or more anywhere on the screen start the Free Spins Bonus. Five Wilds on a line pay five times Anna's €500.00, the best ordinary symbol.
The number of Wilds on the trigger spin sets the picks: 3 for three, 6 for four, 12 for five. Once the round is running, three or more Wilds add 2 spins and 1, 2 or 4 more picks. We never saw three in our log, though 149 of the 500 spins showed one Book and 43 showed two. Books paid seven line wins by themselves, €35.00 in all.
Twenty scarab tiles, and none of them comes back
Before any free spin is played, Pick and Click lays out a board of scarab tiles. The help lists the pool: 6 tiles of +2 free spins, 3 of +3, 2 of +5 and 1 of +10; 2 of +1 Expanding symbol, one of +2 and one of +4; 2 of +1x multiplier, one of +2x and one of +5x. That makes 20, one per square on the board. A picked award leaves the pool for the round.
The tiles also set the ceilings. Turn all four multiplier tiles and x1 becomes x10, applied to every free-spin win. The four Expanding tiles plus the starting symbol reach 9, which is every paying symbol in the paytable (Anna, the Pharaoh, Anubis, Sobek and five card ranks). Between them the spin tiles hold 41 extra spins.
Each Expanding symbol is drawn at random from the symbols not expanding yet (the Wild is never among them). Once the line wins of a free spin are paid, every Expanding symbol is evaluated again by itself, with Wilds left out: it grows to cover each reel where it appears, and its win counts in any position. When our bought round retriggered, the board came back with its three opened tiles still face up.
Three cards that fix the Wilds, and what 150x bought us
The buy works from the base game only and "may not be available in all markets", says the help. Each card pays for a base spin with at least as many Wilds as you bought, and the picks follow the Wilds that land, so a three-Wild purchase that lands four gets six picks.

A pick costs 50x, 83.3x and 133.3x the bet on the three cards, while the sheet's RTP climbs only from 96.50% to 96.91%, a little above the 96.27% of ordinary play.
In the media session we took the €150.00 card. The spin paid €5.00, the Book named the Pharaoh, and the 3 picks turned +3 free spins, +2 Expanding symbols and +1 Expanding symbol: 7 free spins at x1 with 4 symbols expanding. TOTAL WIN read €26.50 on the seventh spin, where three Books added +2 FREE SPINS and one more pick.
The clip ends on the retrigger's board: the client drew nothing more for 14 minutes, and we cut that. The server's answer puts the whole round at 20 free spins and €144.00, 96% of the price, so most of the spins and money came after the part on film.
Five hundred spins at €1.00 and the third Book never came
Each of the 500 paid spins in our log ran at €1.00 on 3 Nov 2026. 26.2% of them won, with half of those wins at €0.50 or less, and the free spins never started.

Without the bonus the run returned €273.50 of €500.00, or 54.7%. The best spin was number 124, 20.5x from five of one card rank across the middle line (€10.00) and three Annas on another line (€10.00), plus €0.50 for two of a medium symbol. Eight spins reached 10x, none reached 50x, and the longest stretch without a win lasted 13 spins.
The balance fell almost in a straight line, from €4,999.00 after spin 1 to €4,773.50 after spin 499, and 78 later media spins found no trigger either. Its reskin, Book of Yuletide, ran on the same rules and figures and had four bonuses in its 500, which over runs this short is luck.
Anna's third game was Quickspin's first Book title
Quickspin's page announces "our adrenaline-hungry heroine Anna the Explorer is back!". She first led Ark of Mystery in October 2018, a respin game on 20 lines. Her second outing, Dinosaur Rage, came earlier in 2021, and we have no page for it.
The studio calls Book of Duat "a fresh take on Book games" and never names a Book series. Anna returned in Book of Inferno (February 2023) which has a Marked symbol, one buy at 125x and a simulated ceiling of 5,846x.
Book of Yuletide (November 2023) is another matter, with Anti-Santa and three elves on this game's rules, word for word, and on the same sheet figures. Set the texts and numbers side by side and it shows, though Quickspin never says so.
With volatility 5, most of the weight sits in the bonus. The base game paid little across our log, and a bonus round is worth whatever its tiles turn up. The demo server's top win is 32,670.5x, while the sheet prints 32,760.5x for the same 100 billion spins. It suits players who can sit through long runs of two Books, and the buy cards are a choice of how much of the board to see, at a rising price per pick.

Is the gold Book a scatter or a Wild?
Both jobs fall to one symbol, which the help labels WILD. It replaces any symbol, two to five on a line pay €5.00 to €2,500.00 at €1.00, and three or more in any position start the free spins.
Can the free spins multiplier pass x10?
Not under the published rules. It starts at x1 and only Pick and Click raises it, through two +1x tiles, one +2x and one +5x. With all four picked it reads x10, and nothing else in the help touches it.
Which purchase returns the most?
On the game sheet, the dearest: 96.91% for 1,600x, against 96.71% for 500x and 96.50% for 150x. The gap is small next to the price: a pick costs 133.3x the bet on the top card and 50x on the cheapest.
Why is the top win 32,670.5x here and 32,760.5x elsewhere?
The demo server reports 32,670.5x as the largest win in 100 billion simulated spins. Quickspin's sheet prints 32,760.5x for the same run, the same digits with 6 and 7 swapped, and casino listings copy the sheet. We cannot prove which is the typo, so we print the server figure and name the other.
What do picks give once all 20 tiles are gone?
+3 free spins each, says Quickspin's game page; the in-game help leaves that line out. A five-Wild start gives 12 picks, so retriggers would have to add 8 more before the board is empty.
