Second Strike! Demo: A Fruit Machine With a Marker on the Rim
Quickspin's sheet calls Second Strike!, released in December 2015, the studio's first volatile 10-line game. It is a fruit machine on 5x3 reels, cherries up to a diamond, inside a rim of 52 symbol squares where a marker can add 6 to 10 copies of a winning symbol. The demo server reports RTP 96.25%, with 1,210x the best result over 1 billion simulated spins, and the sheet puts volatility at 3.92 of 5.
How big is a second strike, and how often does one come?
Six, eight or ten extra symbols, set by the longest paying line of the matched symbol: three of a kind brings 6, four brings 8, five brings 10. The marker has to stop on a symbol from a winning line, and then the board pays again with the extras in place, on top of the first win. Quickspin's sheet puts a wheel hit at 1 in 32 wagered games. In our 500 spins at €1.00 it came 10 times, 8 adding six symbols and 2 adding eight.

Cherries to a diamond on ten fixed lines
The sheet says the inspiration was the classic fruit machine, and the paytable reads like one. Cherries are the cheapest symbol, €0.80 for three at €1.00; plums, grapes and watermelons come next, then bells, stars and sevens, and the diamond pays €10.00 for three and €100.00 for five. A gold Wild substitutes for every symbol but has no pays of its own in the table, and there are no free spins: the wheel is the only feature.

The ten lines pay from the leftmost reel, and each line pays only its best combination. Our log shows one quirk of numbering: line 1 is the middle row and line 2 the top one, the reverse of Joker Strike.
The marker has to land on the symbol that just won
Any line win starts the feature. The rim squares that show the winning symbol light up, and a marker runs round the wheel. If it stops on the symbol from any of the spin's winning lines, extra copies of that symbol drop onto the reels; if it stops anywhere else, the spin ends with the first win.

That filmed spin, number 23, kept its €10.00 and nothing more. When the marker does match, the count of new symbols follows the longest paying line of that symbol, not the number of lines: 6 after three of a kind, 8 after four, 10 after five. Wilds and the symbols of the matched win are never replaced, the help says, so the extras take other positions.

Filmed spin 3 shows a whole hit. Two grapes and a Wild paid €2.50 on the top row, the banner came up, six more grapes arrived while the Wild stayed in place, and the board paid a second time: the spin closed at €21.25, 8.5x the €2.50 stake. In all 10 hits of our log, the second payout paid the matched starting line again.

The sheet says 1 in 32; our log says 1 in 50
Quickspin prints the odds of a wheel hit as 1 in 32 per wagered game, about 16 hits in 500 spins. We logged 10, one every 50 spins, after 108 winning spins: the marker matched a winning symbol 9.3% of the time it ran.
The server reports each stop by its square, numbered 0 to 51, which fits the 52 squares we counted on the frames; our stops fell on 44 of them, and every one showed a paying symbol, never a Wild. The diamond was the commonest stop, 19 times, yet the 3 diamond lines we saw paid €10.00 each and drew no hit.

Our filmed session had the same luck on spin 40: three diamonds, €25.00, and no second payout. With so few events, 500 spins cannot confirm or refute the sheet; they describe one short session and nothing more.
58 cents back on each euro staked
Our session ran on 24 Oct 2026 at €1.00 for a return of 57.6%. Wins came on 21.6% of spins, the median paying spin brought 1.2x, and at worst 18 spins in a row paid nothing.

Plain line wins came close to the sheet: 38.8% of our stake against 43.47% for the base game. The gap is in the feature, which the sheet credits with 52.79% and which paid us 18.9%. Hit spins averaged 10.7x, and 6 of the 9 spins worth 10x or better were hits; the other 3 held diamond lines.
The best, spin 179, shows the feature in one move: three bells paid €2.00, the marker stopped on a bell, six more joined, and the spin closed at 18x. The balance ended the session at its low, €4,788.10.
Older than all but two games here, and copied in 2018
Only Big Bad Wolf (2013) and Treasure Island (2013) came out before it among the games we review, and it is the oldest of the 5 slots here with 10 lines. Its sheet shows the age. The demo server's RTP is 96.25%; the sheet prints 96.22% as the total, while its two parts add up to 96.26%. For the largest win the server gives 1,210x and the sheet 1,221x, both from 1 billion simulated spins.
Joker Strike took the mechanic in April 2018: the same wheel and the same 6, 8 or 10 rule, a jester in place of the diamond, card suits for fruit, and Hi Roller stakes on top. Its sheet rates volatility 4.14 against 3.92 here, and our own 500-spin log of it holds 23 strikes to the 10 we saw in this game.
A fruit machine to play for the marker
Strip out the wheel and this is a sparse, low-paying ten-liner. The wheel is the reason to play: one stop can turn a €2.00 line into a board that pays again, and that is where the sheet places more than half the RTP. Play the demo long enough to see a few hits before judging it.
Three loose ends from the help screens and our log
Points the paytable states briefly or leaves out.
Will the added symbols ever land on top of a Wild?
No. The help says Wilds and the symbols of the matched win are never replaced, so the extras fill the remaining positions; none of our 10 hits put one on a Wild. Wilds are absent from the outer wheel too: every stop in our log showed a paying symbol.
What if two different symbols win on the same spin?
The marker can match either, since the rule names any initiating line win, and the count follows the longest line of the symbol it stops on. In our log, spin 152 had the marker stop on the symbol of a four-symbol line rather than the three-symbol one, and eight symbols were added.
What happens when the marker stops on a symbol that has not won?
Nothing more is added: a stop only counts on a symbol from a winning line, and any other square ends the spin with the first payout. In our log 98 of the 108 stops after a win showed some other symbol, 19 of them a diamond.
Does the second payout count the other winning lines again?
Not in our log. On spin 152 the marker matched the four-symbol line, one of the added symbols replaced a symbol of the other winning line, and that line was not paid a second time. The help describes extra symbols of the matched symbol only.
