Golden Glyph Demo: Power Wilds on a 7x7 Tomb
Golden Glyph is a Quickspin cluster-pays slot from November 2019 on a 7x7 grid of Egyptian symbols. Five or more connected matching symbols pay and then tumble away, while Power Wilds charge a wheel of Power-Ups that ends in free spins with a multiplying Golden Glyph Wild. The game sheet gives 96.19% RTP, a volatility of 3 with no scale printed, and 13,185x as the largest win in Quickspin's simulation.
How do you trigger the free spins in Golden Glyph?
There is no scatter symbol. At the start of every spin the golden wheel beside the grid draws five Power-Ups, and the fifth is always the Free Spins Bonus. Each Power Wild that becomes part of a winning cluster charges the next Power-Up in line, so the bonus needs a fifth Power Wild win before the tumbles of that spin run out. It awards 9 free spins and the Golden Glyph Wild; each new activation inside the feature adds 3 spins.

Tumbles chain, so give spins time: one in our recording took close to 40 seconds. The sheet calls the square layout perfect for portrait mode, so hold a phone upright. The demo runs the 96.19% model, the only one on the sheet. Its rules screens do not print an RTP, so at a casino the RTP model is something to ask the casino about.

Clusters of five, tumbles and the golden wheel
Seven symbols fill the grid: a red falcon-headed god, a green-framed queen and a blue pharaoh pay most; four sand-coloured glyphs (snake, ankh, eye, water lines) pay least. A cluster pays from five connected symbols, the paytable runs from 5 to 15+, and only the highest win per cluster counts. At €1.00, 15 or more falcons pay €250.00 while five water lines pay €0.10. The golden W Wild replaces every symbol except the Power Wild and the Golden Glyph Wild.
Winning symbols vanish, new ones fall from above and each fresh win is added until nothing connects. Before each drop, one Power Wild lands in a gap left by the cleared cluster, never more than one per tumble. It plays as a Wild, disappears once it joins a win, and that use charges the next Power-Up.

The wheel is drawn fresh each spin: four slots come at random from Golden Scarab, Eye of Horus and Blaze of Fire, and the fifth is the Free Spins Bonus. Charged Power-Ups fire in order once a screen has no win. Golden Scarab drops 4 to 10 Wilds and the grid is evaluated again. Eye of Horus removes every copy of one random low symbol, and Blaze of Fire burns all normal symbols in one row and one column, sparing Wilds; per the sheet, each removed symbol pays 1/20 of the bet.

The PDF game sheet twice prints "Blaze of God" and once "Feature Wild"; the in-game rules and quickspin.com say Blaze of Fire and Power Wild. The sheet splits the return into base game 30.45%, base features 27.64% and free spins 38.10%, so plain cluster wins return less than a third of the stake and the features carry the rest.
Free spins and the levelling Golden Glyph Wild
The bonus gives 9 free spins, and on the first one the Golden Glyph Wild, a winged gold medallion, lands at random. It acts as a Wild and multiplies any win it joins. The multiplier starts at x1 and gains 1 for each tumble in which the medallion joins a winning cluster. It holds still during tumbles, stays after wins and jumps to a new spot every free spin, keeping its multiplier to the end. The rules print no ceiling; the sheet and quickspin.com mention levelling it to x99.

The wheel keeps turning inside the feature, and each new Free Spins Bonus activation adds 3 spins. When it fires, leftover Power Wilds turn into plain Wilds and no new ones land for the rest of that spin.

The clip is a natural trigger from our media session, outside the logged spins. Midway the counter jumped from 4 to 7, so the round ran 12 free spins. The medallion showed x3 with six spins left, x6 when an Eye of Horus fired and x10 at the finish.
The round paid €21.80, or 21.8x the bet, including the €4.10 from the triggering spin. Each level needs a winning tumble that touches the medallion, and it moves every spin.

Our 500 spins at €1.00: frequent small wins, one big feature
We logged 500 paid spins on Quickspin's demo server. 37.8% paid something, the median paying spin returned 1x, and no run without a win lasted longer than 8 spins.
- 500paid demo spins at €1.00
- 37.8%of them paid something
- 78.65xbest spin, free spins round included
- 4free spins bonuses triggered
Free spins came 4 times and paid 18.9x (spin 6), 19.2x (spin 247), 7.85x (spin 341) and 78.65x (spin 492), an average of 31.15x per round, trigger spin included. The last one ran 15 free spins after two re-activations. The best base spin paid 13.45x.
The high point, €5,017.80, came on spin 11. From there the balance drifted down to €4,833.35 on spin 491, just ahead of the best feature, then closed at €4,908.25: €408.25 back from €500.00 staked (81.7%). 4 spins paid 10x or more, 1 passed 50x and none reached 100x, an event the sheet puts at 1 in 1,139 spins. A sample this small shows texture, not long-run RTP.
Golden Glyph next to the wolf and sakura slots
Big Bad Wolf Megaways also tumbles, but on 6 reels, up to 7 rows (Megaways, up to 117,649 ways). Its sheet volatility is 5 of 5, its largest simulated win 30,540.35x, and it sells the bonus for 90x the bet, while Golden Glyph has no buy.
Big Bad Wolf: Pigs of Steel tumbles too, on a 5x3 grid with 25 lines, topping out at 18,173x in simulation. Its sheet expects 100x or more once per 767 spins, against once per 1,139 here.
Sakura Fortune 2 swaps clusters for 576 ways on 5 reels, 3-4-4-4-3 rows, 3 RTP models with 96.03% as the default and a largest simulated win of 19,664.8x. Golden Glyph has one 96.19% model.
Verdict: a busy grid with a distant bonus
Golden Glyph suits players who enjoy a crowded screen: something paid on 37.8% of our spins and the wheel adds something to track on every tumble. The price is distance: the bonus sits behind four other Power-Ups in a single spin, it came 4 times in 500 spins, and it accounts for 38.10 of the game's 96.19 RTP points. Try a few hundred demo spins first.
Golden Glyph questions
From the in-game rules, the game sheet and our spins.
What is the minimum cluster size in Golden Glyph?
Five. The paytable in the game rules starts at clusters of 5 and its top row covers 15 or more. Only the highest win per cluster is paid, and the golden W Wild can complete clusters of any regular symbol on the 7x7 grid.
What is the highest win in Golden Glyph?
Quickspin puts the largest win in its simulation at 13,185x the bet. The game page and sheet round this to "up to 13,000x" with a Golden Glyph Wild levelled to x99. Our best result in 500 spins was 78.65x, inside a free spins round.
Can you buy the free spins in Golden Glyph?
No. The game has no bonus buy and the demo server lists no purchase options. The only way in is the fifth Power-Up on the golden wheel, charged by a fifth Power Wild win within one spin. In our 500 spins that happened 4 times.
How volatile is Golden Glyph?
The sheet prints 3 without a scale. Other Quickspin sheets use 1 to 5, which would make it a middle value, but this one does not say so. In our spins 37.8% paid something and no losing streak passed 8 spins.
Is this the original Golden Glyph or a sequel?
This page covers the original Golden Glyph from November 2019. Golden Glyph 2 and Golden Glyph 3 are separate games with their own rules, and none of their figures appear here.
