Arcane Gems Demo: Gems That Hold Until the Reels Go Quiet
Arcane Gems · Quickspin · RTP 96.05% · max win 5,625x · checked on the demo server
Arcane Gems is a 5x3 jewel slot on 9 lines, released by Quickspin in June 2020 with no free spins and no bonus buy. The studio's own build plays here in the browser, free and with no registration or download. Any win starts Arcane Lock respins, and each full column adds a multiplier of 2 to 5. The game sheet gives an RTP of 96.05%, 95.60% of it from the respins, rates volatility 3.5 of 5 and puts the full-screen prize at 5,625x.
Does Arcane Gems have free spins?
No. Quickspin's game page and sheet describe no free spins, the demo server lists no feature purchase, and the only features on the rules screens inside the game are Arcane Lock Mechanics and Arcane Multipliers. What it has instead is a respin. A win of three or more on one of the 9 lines locks the best-paying winning symbol, and the other squares spin again until no new copy lands. In our 500 spins all 119 wins came that way.

Five dark X sockets above the reels light up when a column fills. Bets run from €0.10 to €100.00, the range printed on the sheet. Quickspin lists one RTP for this game, 96.05%, and the demo plays at it.

Three matching gems in a row count on any stretch of a line
Adjacent Pay, as the rules screen calls it, means that three, four or five symbols "connected adjacently anywhere on a winning bet line" pay as three, four or five of a kind. A run on reels 2, 3 and 4 counts, while a run broken by a gap does not. The client draws 9 fixed lines, a count Quickspin's page and sheet leave out.

Five blue diamonds pay €25.00 at €1.00, five pink pentagons €10.00, and the red, yellow and green gems €7.50, €5.00 and €4.00. Four card suits fill the rest, from €1.40 for five hearts down to €0.80 for five spades.
The best winning gem stays put and the other squares spin again
A win does not pay when it lands. The highest winning symbol locks in a frame, every other square respins, and each new copy locks too. When a respin brings none, the sequence stops and pays on the last screen. Quickspin's page adds that lower winning symbols on the first screen are paid at once. That happened in eight of our 119 sequences and came to €3.20, or 0.64% of the stake, against the sheet's 0.40% for the base game.

Most sequences were short. Of the 119, 51 stopped after a single respin that added nothing, 35 ran two, 17 three, 11 four and only five went to five, 241 respins in all. Cheap symbols locked most, spades 29 times against only 3 for the blue diamond. The fullest board held 12 of the 15 squares (spin 423), so the "little secret" Quickspin promises for a fully locked screen stayed hidden.

Each full column lights a socket, and the sockets are summed
Three locked symbols in one reel light the socket above it with a multiplier that the game draws from x2 to x5. Quickspin's page and sheet say the sockets are added, not multiplied, so two columns at x2 and x3 make x5, and five columns at x5 make the x25 ceiling. Nine lines of five diamonds at x25 come to 5,625x the bet, exactly the full-screen prize on the page and the sheet. The client's intro card says the same, WIN UP TO 5625x YOUR BET, though the demo server's simulation of 100 billion spins tops out at 4,950x.

Columns filled in 47 of our 119 sequences: 35 filled one, 11 two and one three. Of the 60 sockets lit, 24 showed x2 and 23 x3, while 10 showed x4 and only three reached x5. Spin 416 reached the highest total, x9 from x4 and x5 side by side, yet it locked blue diamond suits and paid €10.80.
Every one of our 119 winning spins became a lock sequence
Our logged run was 500 spins at €1.00 on 7 Nov 2026: €500.00 in, €502.00 back, 100.4%. 23.8% of spins won something, the median sequence paid 1x, and 57 of them paid less than the stake. No dry spell ran past 16 spins.

Every win here carries a "respins" block in the server's answer, and our log counts a feature wherever one appears, so the 119 on the last tile equals the number of winning spins.
Filled columns did the earning. Sequences with at least one lit socket returned €436.40, 87% of everything paid, while the 72 without one returned €65.60. Spin 104 locked pink pentagons that filled reels 1 and 4 on the first screen, x2 plus x3, and after two respins paid three lines of four at €20.00 and one of five at €50.00, 110x in all and our only win above 100x (the sheet expects one in 2,003 spins). Next best was spin 424, where five blue diamonds on the top line at x2 made €50.00 of its €70.00.

Ark of Mystery and The Wild Chase also hold symbols in place
The Wild Chase is the nearest relative here: its locked symbols also stay until a respin adds nothing. There the respins belong to a base game worth 68.08% of the RTP, next to free spins worth 28.64%.
Free spins are missing from Ark of Mystery too. Its Wild Ark Respins take 39.24% of the return, and plain line wins pay 57.29%.
The Super Respin of Wins of Fortune carries 38.16%. None of the three leans on its feature the way Arcane Gems does, at 95.60%.
A base game that is the feature from first spin to last
There is nothing to wait for. In our log a lock came once in 4.2 spins, most paid around the stake, and the money sat in the rarer sequences where a column fills on a higher gem. The diamonds decide the ceiling. 5,625x needs all 15 squares in blue diamonds with every socket at x5, a board our 500 spins never came near. For a medium rating of 3.5 the swings in our session were mild, with one win of 110x, a low of €4,949.50 and a finish €2.00 above the start.
Short answers on a slot with no free spins
Client 1.6.4's rules screens and our session's server log are the main sources, with Quickspin's documents for the rest.
Can a lock sequence end without paying anything?
No. A sequence starts only from a win of three or more on a line, and that win is kept when the respins stop. The smallest of our 119 sequences paid €0.20, three spades or diamond suits at €1.00.
How many lines does Arcane Gems pay on?
9 fixed lines, drawn on the rules screen of the demo client. Quickspin's page and sheet print no count. A win needs three to five matching symbols next to each other anywhere on a line, not only from reel 1.
Does a lit socket carry its multiplier into the next spin?
No. The sockets belong to one sequence. In our log every spin without a lock ran at multiplier 1 on the server, and each new sequence started with dark sockets unless its first screen already filled a column, as spin 104 did with reels 1 and 4.
Why does the demo server give a lower top win than 5,625x?
Quickspin's page and sheet put the full-screen prize at 5,625x, the sheet from 100 billion simulated spins. The demo server reports 4,950x for the same number of spins. We show 5,625x as the designed prize, since nine lines of five diamonds at x25 make exactly that.
Is Arcane Gems a high-volatility slot?
Quickspin rates it 3.5 on a five-point scale, which casino listings mostly call medium. Our session fits: wins on 23.8% of spins, no dry run longer than 16, and 100.4% back after 500 spins.
