Crystal Prince Demo: Eight Rows to Crack the Blizzard Seal

Released November 2020Updated 500 demo spins loggedGame sheet figures from Quickspin

Crystal Prince, Quickspin's winter release of November 2020, adds a row of symbols to its 6 reels with every winning step. A spin opens on 4 rows (4,096 ways) and can climb to 8 (262,144), where the Blizzard Seal breaks into Multiplier Wilds and Blizzard Mode. Three to six Bonus Scatters award 8 to 20 free spins, a round that can also be bought for 60x the bet. Quickspin's sheet has just one RTP, 96.04%, and scores volatility 4 of 5.

How does the Crystal Prince grid grow from four rows to eight?

Any win adds a row of new symbols on top of the grid, unpaid. While new rows bring fresh winning combinations, more follow, up to eight. When one brings none, every win on the final grid is paid at once. Row eight breaks the Blizzard Seal: 1 to 3 Multiplier Wilds appear and Blizzard Mode tumbles everything but wins, Wilds, scatters and Princes. Of our 147 winning spins, 62 reached a seventh row and 8 the seal.

18+The demo runs on play money and pays nothing out. Real-money play is for adults only.

The bar of ice above the reels, with W, x2 and x3 carved into its end, is the Blizzard Seal, and the WAYS box beside it reads 4096 as each spin begins. The stake opens at €1.00, the one we logged, so a WIN of €3.70 on our frames is 3.7x.

Nothing is paid until the rows stop coming

Snowfall drives the base game. The rules screen says only that any win expands the grid by one row of new symbols, while Quickspin's page adds that rows keep coming as long as new winning combinations occur and that the total is paid when they stop.

Crystal Prince Snowfall six rows grid
Media spin 40 at six rows, WAYS 46656, a Bonus Scatter on reel 6 in the fifth row up.

Wins already on the board grow with it. A snowflake six of a kind on spin 3 covered 12 ways (€3.60) at six rows and 24 (€7.20) at seven; at eight, with an x2 Wild in it, it paid €21.60. Yet the spin was paid only once, €27.35, after the last row.

Crystal Prince seventh row Bonus Scatter
A row later, WAYS 117649: a second Bonus Scatter on reel 4 and a W Wild on reel 5.

Each new row multiplies the ways by less than the one before

Six reels keep the arithmetic simple: a way takes one symbol from each, so the count is the row number to the sixth power. Quickspin's page and sheet print no ways figure, while the in-game rules panel calls it a "6-reel, 4096 to 262144 expanding ways game".

646,6562.99130

The fifth row nearly quadruples the ways, the eighth only a little more than doubles them, and a full board has 64 times the ways of the first. Our 17 runs that stopped at five rows paid €9.00 in all, against €140.15 from the 8 that reached eight, 46% of the base game's €306.00.

Row eight cracks the ice bar and starts the blizzard

The first time the grid reaches 8 rows, the seal breaks and 1 to 3 Wild Frost Multiplier Wilds spawn. Blizzard Mode then locks winning symbols, Wilds, Bonus Scatters and the Prince, and tumbles new symbols into the rest while new wins appear. A Multiplier Wild carries x2 or x3; two on one winning way multiply each other.

Crystal Prince Blizzard Seal eighth row
Row eight is the ice bar itself, lit up as a third Bonus Scatter lands on reel 2: WAYS 262144.

The seal broke eight times in the base game of our 500 spins. Six seals dropped one Multiplier Wild and two dropped two, never three. Our best base-game spin, number 30, got two x2 Wilds on reels 4 and 5, and the server paid a blue gem six of a kind on 16 ways at x4: €32.00 of its €48.80.

Crystal Prince Blizzard Mode locked symbols
Blizzard Mode: unlocked squares freeze white and clear, while wins, Princes, Wilds and three Bonus Scatters stay.

Media spin 40 went on to pay €16.00, and its three Bonus Scatters started 8 free spins.

Free spins drop back to four rows before every spin

Three, four, five or six Bonus Scatters award 8, 10, 15 or 20 free spins, two inside the round add 3, and each free spin opens with 1 to 4 Wilds, plain or multiplying. Rows go unmentioned in the rules, yet each of the 43 free spins in our four bonuses opened on 4,096 ways.

Of those 43, 16 paid nothing, and only the opening free spin of the bonus from spin 492 reached eight rows, breaking the seal there too (€14.50).

Crystal Prince Wild Frost Free Spins buy
One card at a €1.00 feature bet: €60 for the Wild Frost Free Spins with 3 to 6 scatter symbols.

The buy is sold only during the base game and, depending on the market, may not be offered at all. A bought round starts with 3 to 6 Bonus Scatters at random.

For the clip we paid €60.00 for one round, which landed three scatters and 8 free spins. Six paid, €2.00 to €4.80, none passed seven rows, and the round returned €18.20, 18.2x against the 60x price.

Crystal Prince bought free spins x2 Wild
Bought free spin two at six rows: x2 Wild on reel 3, W on reel 5, WIN €3.70, TOTAL WIN €5.70.

The WAYS box in the clip drops back to 4096 as each free spin starts.

Our €60.00 buy, with sound: seven rows on spin seven for €4.80, then CONGRATULATIONS! YOU WON 18.20.

Our 500 spins, and the player this grid suits

Logged at €1.00 a spin on 27 Oct 2026, the session gave back 86.3%. The 29.4% of spins that paid had a median of 0.9x, below the stake. None reached 100x; Quickspin's figure for that is 1 in 1,191 spins.

Demo balance across our 500 logged spins at €1.00, from €5,000.00 (dashed line). Orange dots mark the spins that triggered free spins.

The balance stood highest after spin 30 (€5,073.50) and lowest after spin 491 (€4,868.50), then closed at €4,931.45 after the 62.95x bonus.

Wild Cauldron also climbs from four rows to eight on six reels, through the same ways counts, but there wins lock and tumble from the first step, the Wilds feed one multiplier and nothing can be bought. It rates 5 of 5 to this game's 4; no Quickspin source links the two.

Climbing is the appeal here, and most climbs stop at six or seven rows. Even so, our eight seals alone paid close to half the base game's money. The demo runs 96.04%, and no other model is published.

Small print on rows, Wilds and the buy

What the 14 rules screens leave out, we took from Quickspin's figures and our two runs.

Does a board that reached eight rows stay that size for the next spin?

No. Each of our 500 paid spins and 43 free spins started from 4,096 ways, however high the spin before had climbed. No rules screen says so, but the server log shows it every time.

Which values can a Wild Frost Multiplier Wild carry?

x2 or x3, and two or more on one winning way multiply, so x2 with x3 makes x6. Our eight base-game seals dropped 7 x2 and 3 x3 Wilds, never anything higher.

Where do the two top-win figures come from?

Both are Quickspin's. Intro screen, page and sheet say up to 11,500x, while the demo build now running reports 11,631x as its largest win out of 100 billion simulated spins. Nothing on the rules screens sets a ceiling.

How many Bonus Scatters does a bought round start with?

Three to six, drawn at random, by the rules screen and the buy card, so 8 to 20 free spins. Our €60.00 purchase at a €1.00 stake landed three and paid €18.20.

Can Bonus Scatters land in the rows that Snowfall adds?

Yes, and they count. Spin 17 in our log had one scatter on the first four rows and two more in the fifth; on spin 405 one arrived with each of rows five, six and seven. Both spins started 8 free spins.
