Crystal Queen's Coins Demo: Coins, Crystal Balls and Four Snowpots

Only coins and Snowflakes stay on the Frozen Fortune reels

A base-game coin already carries its value, between 1x and 5x the bet. When three or more land, they move with those values to the same squares of an empty blue board, and the counter above the logo adds them up. The round opens with three respins, which the client labels FREE SPINS.

The counter goes back to three with each new coin or Snowflake, and three empty respins in a row end the bonus. Line wins play no part. Our two natural bonuses each began with four coins and ran six respins. Spin 222's bonus finished with eight coins for 21x, and the later one, spin 277, with six for 19x, and neither saw a Crystal Ball or a Snowflake.

One Crystal Ball, and every value on the board is multiplied

A Crystal Ball lands as a glass sphere in a hand and then shows its number, 2x to 5x. In Frozen Fortune it multiplies every coin and Snowflake value that is on the reels at that moment. Coins that arrive later keep their own values.

The ball in our bought round came up 3x. The 4.00 coin turned into 12.00, the 5.00 into 15.00, and the seven coins together from 18x into 54x. A 3.00 coin landed afterwards and took the round to 57x.

Base-game balls multiply line wins and Snowflakes instead. Our 500 spins brought 32 balls, spread over 31 spins (2x once, 3x 14 times, 4x 8 times, 5x 9 times). Line wins paid with a ball in view came to €78.40 of the €347.75 total. Spin 235 had a 4x and a 2x together, and the server paid both its line wins at x6, so in the base game two balls add up.

Four Snowpots with fixed prizes, and one Mini in our log

Each Snowflake carries one of the four Snowpots named on the board beside the reels, from Mini at 20x up to Grand at 2,000x the bet. The prizes are fixed and do not grow. In the base game Snowflakes land only on reel 5, and a Crystal Ball on the same spin multiplies them. In Frozen Fortune they can land on any reel and count towards the final sum.

One Snowflake turned up in our session, on spin 372, and it was a Mini for €20.00. The Wild, a crowned woman with white hair, is worth 75x the bet as a five-symbol line, twice the 37.5x of the snow leopard, the best paying regular symbol. It replaces everything except Crystal Balls, Snowflakes and coins.

€60.00 for a board with coins already on it

Next to the Snowpot board, a gold coin sells the bonus for 60x the bet, from the base game only, with three or more coins guaranteed. The rules add that some markets may not get it. A second screen asks you to confirm the €60.00 before the reels spin.

Our purchase landed four coins worth 11x together, the same count as both natural triggers in our log.

The bonus ran nine spins in all and paid €57.00, 57x against the 60x price, with the ball doing most of the work. One round says little about a 5-of-5 game, and Quickspin prints no separate RTP for the buy.

A slow slide in 500 spins, held up by the leopards

Our log returned 81.5%. 27.8% of spins paid at €1.00, close to the sheet's hit rate of 26.62%, but the median win was 0.6x, under the stake, and the longest dry run lasted 14 spins.

The biggest payout came on spin 378, with two five-of-a-kind snow leopard lines at €37.50 each and two short ones for 81x in all. The two bonuses together paid €40.00 and the Mini €20.00, while lines brought €347.75.

At no point did the balance get back above the €5,000.00 it started with. It sank to €4,786.35 by spin 371 and finished at €4,907.75. By Quickspin's own figures 35.09% of the return sits in the bonus, and it rates a 100x win as 1 in 850 spins. With two small bonuses in 500 spins, our sample stayed short of where this game pays.

Catrina's Coins underneath, the Queen only in the legend

Frostgard, where the legend of the Crystal Queen reigns, is where the game page opens, and that is the only tie its texts make. Nothing Quickspin publishes for any of the three Crystal games points to the other two. Crystal Queen (August 2015) is a cascading slot whose rows thaw up to x5. It rates 2.55 of 5, its largest simulated win is 906.2x, and none of that engine is used here.

The maths comes from somewhere else. Quickspin's Catrina's Coins (2023), which this site has not reviewed, has the same feature texts with other symbol names and three sheet cards with the same figures, down to the simulation spin counts: 96.06%, 94.18% and 87.07%, volatility 5 and 10,151x at the top. Quickspin does not call either game a reskin, but the cards leave little doubt.

Crystal Prince shares the 60x buy price and little else, with six reels, rows that grow on every win and a ceiling of 11,631x. Back to the Coins: the free demo runs the 96.06% card, and casinos may be on either of the lower two. The game suits players who like to follow a bonus coin by coin and can wait for one, since our 500 spins brought two. On a short budget the 20 lines do little in between.
