Pied Piper Demo: Follow the Wild One Reel at a Time
In Pied Piper the Wild walks. Quickspin's January 2018 slot drops a Piper Wild one reel tall onto reel 3, 4 or 5 of a 5x4 grid with 40 lines; when all of him lands, Piper Respins move him one reel left per respin, Mouse Wilds in tow. Three Bonus Scatters give 10 free spins. The sheet's single RTP is 96.32% and its volatility 3.9 of 5; the demo server's largest simulated win is 1,465.55x.
How many reels does the Pied Piper walk before his respins run out?
Off the left edge. Each respin moves him one reel left, and in our log his landing reel set the count: a Piper on reel 3 gave 3 respins and one on reel 4 gave 4, the last played after he had left reel 1. A Mystery Re-trigger on that final respin can return him to reel 5 for 5 new respins; it happened once in our 500 spins.

The Piper fills one reel, the mice hold single squares
The Piper Wild is a 4x1 stack found only on reels 3, 4 and 5, in the base game and the free spins, and he substitutes for everything except the Bonus Scatter. The Mouse Wild takes one square, stands in for everything except the Piper and the scatter, and walks with him during respins.
Wins pay from the left on 40 lines. At €0.80, five kings pay €8.00 (10x) and five queens €4.00 (5x); the card ranks pay €0.80 to €1.00 for five.

Mice are not saved for the bonus: at least one stood on 261 of our 500 base screens. Two Bonus Scatters showed on 40 screens and three on just one.
He steps one reel left per respin and the mice step with him
The help screens describe the walk without counting it; our server log does. Each respin shifts the Piper and every Mouse Wild one reel left until he reaches reel 1, then one last respin is played without him. Reel 3 meant 3 respins, reel 4 meant 4.

Filmed in the free spins, this walk began after his landing lines paid €6.40.

The next three respins paid nothing, €2.24 and €0.48, closing that free spin on €18.92.

In the base game the full Piper landed 5 times in 500 spins, three on reel 3 and two on reel 4. The best walk, 38.9x on spin 56 and our top base result, began from reel 4 on a landing spin that paid nothing; its respins paid 5x, 15.2x, 15.65x and 3.05x.
Sent back to reel 5 for five more
The final respin of a walk carries a chance of a Mystery Re-trigger: the Piper re-enters on the rightmost reel with 5 new respins, enough to cross the whole grid again.
Our five base walks never got it. The one re-trigger came on free spin 8 of spin 73: a mystery Piper walked five respins from reel 5 for 4.55x, then returned for five more worth 44.85x. With the spin's own win that made 50.3x of the round's 69.5x.
Mice drop in on every free spin after dark
A night sky hangs over the 10 free spins that three Bonus Scatters start. The scatters appear on reels 2, 3 and 4 in the base game only, so the ten cannot grow, and 1 to 6 Mouse Wilds are added on every spin.

A mystery Piper Wild can also appear after a free spin. In spin 73 the added mice ran 3, 1, 3, 1, 3, 2, 4, 3, 3 and 1, and free spins 1 to 7 paid 19.2x together.

Our filmed round triggered on media spin 41 at €0.80. Pipers dropped onto reel 4 on the first free spin and reel 3 on the fourth, paying €18.92 and €26.96 of €55.60.
That is exactly 69.5x, the same multiple as the bonus in our 500-spin log, though that one earned most of it on its eighth spin.
Five Piper walks and a single bonus inside our 500 spins
Every one of our 500 logged spins was played at €1.00 on 24 Oct 2026: 15.6% paid, the median paying spin returned 1.4x, the worst dry stretch ran 28 spins, and the session returned 59.7%, ending on its lowest balance.
- 500paid demo spins at €1.00
- 15.6%of them paid something
- 69.5xbest spin, free spins round included
- 1free spins bonus triggered
Against the stake, base lines returned 33.3%, the walks 12.4% and the free spins 13.9%, where the sheet expects 38.67%, 30.38% and 27.27%. The three reel 3 walks paid 17.55x between them, the two from reel 4 44.55x.
No win reached the 100x the sheet expects once in 1,302 spins. The demo server runs 96.32%, the only RTP model Quickspin lists for this game.
Sakura Fortune needs two stacks, the Piper only one
Sakura Fortune (April 2017) shares the 5x4 grid and 40 lines but needs two full Princess Wild stacks to start respins. Its sheet gives respins 22.34% of the RTP to the Piper's 30.38%, rates volatility 4.83 against 3.9 and expects 100x once in 876 spins, not 1,302.
Pied Piper reached LeoVegas on 3 January 2018 and other casinos on 9 January. Dwarfs Gone Wild followed in June 2018 with 20 lines and a higher simulated top, 2,535x against 1,465.55x.
The Piper suits players who like watching a feature build: his landing reel sets how long he stays, there is no buy and no free spins retrigger, and both our best results came from walks of four respins or more.
What the Piper's help screens do not say
Sources for these: the help screens, the sheet, the demo server and our sessions.
Is half a Piper any use?
As a Wild, yes; as a trigger, no, since respins need the whole stack. Part of him showed on 44 of our 500 base screens, and on 9 of those his squares still completed winning lines.
Is there a way to add free spins once the ten have started?
No. Bonus Scatters only appear on reels 2, 3 and 4 of the base game, so the 10 spins are fixed. The bonus adds Mouse Wilds to every spin instead, and mystery Pipers can start respins.
Does the Piper pay anything by himself?
No. He has no paytable line and only substitutes, for all symbols but the Bonus Scatter. The top line pay is the Mouse Wild's: 20x the stake for five, twice the king's 10x.
Which top win is current, 1,456x or 1,465.55x?
1,465.55x, the largest win in 100 billion simulated spins, demo server data. The older sheet printed 1,456x from 1 billion spins, and some listings still print it. Our best was 69.5x.
Did the Piper ever return for a second walk in your log?
Once, on free spin 8 of spin 73: a mystery Piper walked from reel 5, and the Mystery Re-trigger sent him back for 5 more respins worth 44.85x. None of the 5 base-game walks came back.
